Well, this new release crashes immediately after selecting a template, creating a custom document or opening a file. This is happening to Words, Stage or Sheets (I didn’t tested with other components), but I guess that this is more like a packaging issue (I’m using Arch Linux here).

    • Inge Wallin says:

Yes, I’m pretty sure this is a packaging issue.

For what it’s worth, I’m also using the Arch Linux packages (64 bit). I haven’t tested everything but opening documents or templates seems to be working fine for me in Words, Sheets and Stage.

By the way, thanks to everyone involved with Calligra!

  2. Jon says:

Fantastic, this fixed the only issue I was having with Calligra!

Now looking forward to transitioning to Calligra and using it regularly.

    Thanks to everyone behind Calligra!

ov1d1u -> I’m using Arch Linux, too and I can confirm that sometimes Calligra may crash due to packaging issues or some missing package. At least I managed to “fix” one or two crashes just by installing the whole suite instead of single apps :).

Calligra is a fresh software, so it needs some time to stabilize. Quick availability of bugfix release is a good news. I really enjoy the project – excellent work :). It really has a chance to become the first-class office suite for Linux and KDE.

Will this update be available in ubuntu 12.04 official packages? Or onley through the neon project?
