Unfortunately i cannot use Calligra because the spell check doesn’t work
In this state i would nt like to see Calligra as default in my distribution

Sorry, but i have a negative opinion for this application, i tried though …

    • Jarosław Staniek says:

It may be that you need to choose a spellcheck backend that works. I agree this may be a job for packagers of your distribution. If we can help you in any way please let us know.

  2. Piotr M. says:

I’m not happy because I see Calligra is dead. Only developed applications are Krita and Kexi. From few releases there isn’t any change in ie. Words. What a pity 🙁

  3. Robert Leleu says:

I added the paulo-miguel-dias ppa, but always see only kexi 1:2.6.3

  4. Marc Henshaw says:

I’d have to agree with Piotr on this one. Windows installer package is a few versions behind. Looks like Calligra is dead on versions outside of Linux.

    • Jarosław Staniek says:

As stated elsewhere, Calligra rarely or never distributes anything but source code and documentation. Depending on access to volunteers that may change. So I would call it inactivity on Mac or Windows, not death. These OSes are different in the fact that there are far less volunteers.
It costs big bucks to test on multiple OSes. Stay tuned, while the community has to focus on priorities, once Windows version be more active again, all the nice improvements will be present there too. Definitely, we do NOT remove Windows-specific code.

  5. Alex says:

Actually, I’m trying out Calligra Sheets and it’s great.
All stuff I normally use in Excel/libreoffice is there.
Also has a very neat GUI with the tabs to the right.
